Remarks

Refund policy Refund of tuition fees is only possible under extraordinary circumstances (e.g. a denied residence permit, unmet conditional degree requirements, a change of fee status, or a full scholarship received after payment). Applications must be submitted by 21 September 2026, and an administrative refund deduction of 7,000 SEK is applied to all refunds. Refunds are returned only to the original funding source.
Visa refusal policy Non-EU/EEA students must obtain a residence permit, which is processed solely by the Swedish Migration Agency, not by the university. Malmö University advises applying no later than 2-3 months before departure, as approval must be granted before entering Sweden; residence permit applications are linked to admission to full-time studies and payment of tuition fees. Students must register their Swedish address with the agency after arrival.

Requirements, fees and deadlines shown here are the ones our counsellors work from, but the university can change them at any intake. We confirm the live figures with the institution before an application is filed, so treat this page as the starting point rather than the final word.
