Refund policy Refund of tuition fees is only granted if the student cannot start or continue studies due to extraordinary circumstances, per Section 12 of the Swedish Ordinance on application fees and tuition fees (2010:543). No refund for financial reasons or if the student decides not to attend. Source: uu.se master's fees pages.
Visa refusal policy Citizens of non-EU/EEA countries need a Swedish residence permit for studies, applied for via the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) after admission; uu.se states a residence permit does not exempt from tuition fees and that applicants must show around SEK 10,656 per month in their own bank account with a bank statement.
